The Cutting Cafe's 2017 Number Shaped Card

So it's been soooo long since I've made a layout, I thought I'd forgotten how, but I think I did alright on this one! 

The DT assignment for this week was to make something from some New Year's type files. Well, when I saw the 2017 shaped card, I knew I would definitely use it. I started out making a card from it, but then I had the idea of doing a New Year's Resolution type layout...And this is what I ended up with! I like it. Simple and to the point, like I rarely am! LOL!

Altered Christmas Jar Courtesy of The Cutting Cafe!

Hey Everyone! I did something that I haven't done in a long time....I did an altered project! I made an Altered Christmas Jar out of a Mason jar, some ribbon, a whole lot of glitter, and a snowflake from the Snowflake Treat Cup Cards! 

I had been wanting to make this for a long time, so when I got the chance to finally do it, I jumped at the chance! I really do love working with the cutting files from The Cutting Cafe because not only are they beautiful, but they are so easy to use!

It's my time of the year at The Cutting Cafe...

 It's BACK TO SCHOOL! Today, the design team is showcasing projects created with the Apple and Pencil Treat Cup, and the Apple and Pencil Shaped Card.

I chose to make the Apple Shaped Card, the Pencil Shaped Card, and a bumble bee from the Beehive Shaped Card set. 

As a teacher I would be so pleased to receive a card like this from one of my students!

Christmas in August at The Cutting Cafe!

Hello Everyone! It's Christmas in August at The Cutting Cafe!

We were asked to create projects using some amazing cutting files. 

I fell in love with these word cards. 

I used the Noel Shaped Card Template,

and the Joy Shaped Card Template. I just LOVE how these cards came out!

Plus, I think I'm feeling the Christmas spirit a little!

SUPER-SIZE IT!

The theme for this week's assignment at The Cutting Cafe is SUPER-SIZE IT! How fun is that??

Well, let me tell you...this was quite a challenge for me, It had me thinking of really crazy things to make really BIG, The only problem was they didn't make sense to make. So, to make a long story longer...One day my daughter was over for dinner and she asked me for the recipe for how to fry chicken and how to make a few other dishes. As I started writing these recipes down it came to me...MAKE HER A RECIPE BOOK THAT I CAN ADD RECIPES TO AS SHE ASKS FOR THEM! 

So, I used The Cutting Cafe's Jar Shaped Card Printable Set

and blew it up to an 8.5 x 11 inch size!

of stamps. I was feeling really artsy when I did this one. I did some stamping, water coloring, and spritzing...quite a lot of fun!

Now, this beautiful stamp is an Angie Girl...made especially for Unity by the crazy talented Angie Blom! I love EVERYTHING she creates...AND

she named this stamp Zeva, which is the name of 

my real life best friend!

Happy Thursday everyone! I absolutely love Thursdays because it's Unity Stamp Company's blog hop! Today I'm sharing a project that's very close to my heart. This the the first layout I've made in 4 years! I ran out of cute family members to scrap because the had all grown up, but now I have a new subject...MY GRANDSON! I'm so excited about having him! He's just perfect AND he looks like ME! (LOL!)
